Be sure to attend the Institute for Family Business in the college’s Eugenio Pino and Family Global Entrepreneurship Center’s first Family Business Forum of 2007 on January 30, 2007, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Chispa Restaurant, 225 Altara Avenue, Coral Gables.
The forum, titled “Entrepreneurship in the Next Generation,” will explore strategies and techniques used to encourage an entrepreneurial mindset among the next generation of family members within a family enterprise. It’s a mindset that focuses on identifying new trends and opportunities and has been proven to be a critical component in enabling family businesses to thrive through multiple generations of leadership. MIC Food, a twenty-year-old, second generation family enterprise, will be the topic of a live case study, with representatives from the family and firm as panelists.
